breaking in the RV

We finally found a Friday that would work with everyone and we did it!! It was raining as we packed up the camper but we tried to be positive and kept going. We left Thurs evening and stayed for 2 nights. We went up to Granite Flats campground and it was beautiful and NOT hot.

Morgan's fish coming in.
This is the view above Tible Fork

wanted their picture taken on this huge rock by the bathrooms

on our trip Morgan discovered that she had her first loose tooth and was soooo excited!!

Just outside our trailer

sleep head Minnow

gotta have one of these

Anson was casting and hooking fish all by himself. I was soooo proud of him. We ended up with catching about 15 fish and released them all. They were small but fun.

These ducks were a little too friendly and would not leave us alone!

Mitch and I decided to take fotos of ourselves why we waited for the fish to bite

my favorite shot!

Silver Flat Lake

Mitch reeled in his first fish

3 little campers

ta-da! We had a great time and can't wait to do it again.

4th of July week

This is going to be a huge post......so hang in there. This week was a whirlwind of sun and cousins!! My brother Matt came into town from AZ with his family and my brother Kyle also flew in from Ohio so we all got to be together for a few days.
Well, we could not waist any time so we started on Sat. with a hike up to Bridal Veil falls. It was beautiful and sooooo crowded!

we took our shoes off and played in the freezing water below.
Dallan and Spencer climbed up the falls

butterflies were everywhere and the kids actually caught one

Mitch and cousin Elle with Aaron

my mom even made it with a broken foot!!
we all went back to grandmas to make up our own version of slip and slide in the back yard.
Monday morning we started at 6:30am with the balloon festival in Provo. I have never been down on the field that close before and it was AWESOME.

This balloon never took off cause it was so tall.

Anson got to touch the pink pig!

We then went out to breakfast and even caught some of the parade.
We then had a bbq at grandmas and more slip and slide while we waited for the dark.

Mitch and grandpa did some wrestling.

just starting in the back yard.

Tuesday we headed to our favorite pool....the Lindon Aquatic Center. Then back to grandma's for dinner. Wed. we headed out to the zoo and it was HOT.
The new baby Zuri elephant who stood with her back side like this the entire time.

We never miss the highlight of the zoo and that would be the bird show!! It's awesome!
and finally....my favorite animals at the zoo......
We took it easy and just played and ate for the next 2 days. Hope to see all the cousins next year. Thanks for the great memories! I love my family.

Our new shed

We have been talking and saving for this moment for a long time............and finally I can introduce our new Tuf-Shed!! We put her back in the corner of our back yard and she is REALLY going to help relieve her friend, the garage. Yea!

Lehi Parade

We have just finished with Lehi Round-up week which ended with our miniture float parade. Each ward in Lehi, (well there were 37) , makes a small float that the primary walks with along with the bishopbric and it gets judged according to the theme. The theme this year was
"guess what I saw....."
I got put on the float commity this year and got to be part of making our FIRST place float!! That's right, we took first place! I am very proud of our cute purple cow, Violet. She is made of paper mache, some chicken wire, a bit of wood for stability and 3 hoola hoops! We had some real talented people building her and it all payed off. We even made the Daily Harold!
Mitch was in his first parade and did great!! He had his little buddy Avery in the wagon with him.
my little farmer
1st place baby!! World famous purple cow. On the back of Aaron's shirt it says "got purple milk?"

Farmer Babcock
Anson, Aaron and I had to walk
Morgan secured a spot ON the float and loved that she had a camelback

Mitch waved to everyone through the whole parade!! It was sooo cute. Violet the cow
notice the purple cow pie behind the cow...
we even had Cosmo in our parade!~

Happy Birthday Morgan!

Today my baby girl tuned 6!! She has grown so fast. I have absolutly loved having a girl and she brings such joy into our home. She is a little mother to her baby brother and likes everyone and will eat everything! She is funny and very thoughtful. We love you Morgan!! Thanks for choosing our family.

Her grandma Babcock made her this sweet blanket that matches her room perfectly

and this is my attempt at a "littlest Pet Shop cake".

simple pleasures

Anson: " I found a inchworm up the canyon today AND I got to try a new flavor of Kool aid today.....this is the best day ever!! "

I cant help but think what his "best day ever" will be in 10 more years....I hope it's something like "I got a 4.0 in school and I just finished reading the Book of Mormon for the 3rd time!! this is the best day ever"
