A fond farewell to kindergarten...

Anson had his last day of kindergarten today. I can't believe a year of school has passed already. Now I get to worry about him being able to handle school ALL day every day. :( He had done so great this year and has had the BEST teacher in the world! Mrs. Gutke. She is awsome and finally retiring after 32 years of teaching, with Anson's class. I'm so glad she choose one more year so we could get her. Anson has made some great friends and has really enjoyed the whole thing.

Marci vs the car wash

So I went to wash my dirty van today in one of those "put your coins in the slot, pull forward and then park" car washes. Well I pull forward until it tells me to stop. So I then put it in park and the machine starts with the soap coming toward me. At the point of impact I didn't understand what had happened (seconds ya know, it all happened in seconds). I put my car in reverse after screaming out a little panic. (I felt trapped with the garage door down, I was going to die, to be smashed to death in soapy water.)

At that point a very loud buzzer went off and the garage door opened up. I was not about to stay in there. I pulled out of the car wash after going over the guide rails that your tire is to go in. I then jumped out and viewed the damage. CRAP! Aaron is going to kill me.

Apparently upon entering the wash my tire some how missed the guide channel bar thingy and I was on the inside of it, therefore it hit me. Now on my behalf, it told me to pull forward and stop just like it should if it was working properly, so I am thinking everything is all right. It should have let me know that my tire was in the wrong spot!

Needless to say, I got back in the car, drove home in a dirty van with soap suds running down my windshield. I want my $5!

I know, I know... 2 posts back to back. CRAZY, but I have to hurry and post this thought before I forget it.

So Morgan is eating her eggos this morning at the kitchen counter and she stops and says:
"Mom, if you go poopie your ice cream will melt." She is sooooo smart. I'm very proud!

Good to be home

We have spent the last 8 days in Arkansas with Aaron's family. His parents just had their 50Th wedding anniversary and all the kids drove and flew out to surprise them with a party. They did know that something was up.... but didn't know to what extent. Needless to say, we got em'.

We reserved the church and invited 2 different wards, old work people and family came from Michigan to Idaho. We had a reception and decorated the gym (best we could) and had photos all over the place, old and new. We had a display table of their talents, and we had people who could not come wrote letters of memories they had. We even had a web site set up.

It was fun getting reacquainted with our cousins and meeting some for the first time. We all ate a ton, laughed alot and enjoyed each other all week.

So with the exception of our luggage getting lost in Denver, all went pretty well planned and even the weather cooperated until the last day as we flew out, Arkansas had 25 tornadoes touch down with 7 fatalities. I can't believe that we were even able to take off. I guess we were really being watched over.

Mitchell even met his red-neck uncle Andy who would'nt let him down whenever he was around.
